Arlene Belan - Titular - Owner, Artistic Director of KeyPointe
Classical and Contemporary Ballet Instructor
Arlene started ballet training at age 9 under Chotto and Chelo Borromeo at Pas de Trois School for the Performing Arts,
Binan, Laguna, Philippines. She was soloist in their first recital at age 10. In her teenage years, she was diagnosed with a heart ailment that required physical rest. But Arlene's passion for the dance continued to burn. She resumed training later at Children's Dance Workshop and attended ballet classes at the Philippine Ballet Theatre in 1992. She opened her own school, TURN-N-POINTE in April 1998. Moreover she started teaching at Alpha Angelicum Academy in June 1998 and at Anne Arbor Montessori in October of the same year. Arlene also completed the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Seminar under Christine Walsh, A.M. in 1998 and has entered students for the exams held in the year 2000. Her students were awarded
commended and highly commended in the said exams. Arlene was Ballet Director for several schools in her hometown.
In 2009, Arlene and her family moved to the United States. She started teaching in Duarte Dance Center in February, 2010. Her students have performed in the LA County Fair 2010, in various school fairs, and "The Nutcracker, All Jazz'd Up", held at Clifton Middle School in Monrovia, CA. She is now Artistic Director/Owner of KeyPointe Ballet Academy in Duarte CA, which opened February, 2011.
She is married to Richard Titular and they have three daughters, Rikki, Mikko and Robinn. They are all committed to giving Glory to our savior, Jesus Christ, and sharing this wonderful gift of dance to the community.
